2012- A Busy Year
2012 was an incredible year with many hats to be made, trimmed and sold! The year started off with the ROYAL TEA SOCIETY AUDREY HEPBURN event, and then we rolled right into the WOMEN OF DISTINCTION AWARDS.
April and May brought us into the spring collection with the KENTUCKY DERBY event at Green Valley Ranch and then at the M Resort for the CRUISE fashion show.
June was a big surprise with the notification of having been selected as one of the designers to have one my pieces displayed in the CHURCHILL HILL DOWNS KENTUCKY DERBY MUSEUM in Lexington, Kentucky! It was an tremendous honor for me and my clients were as excited as I was in hearing the news! We were also featured at the Palms Resort in a fashion show hosted by AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL winners. The month was topped off with the wives and mothers of the NBA players holding their annual conference at Caesars Palace and featuring LOUISA VOISINE MILLINERY in their fashion show. Our spring sale in June of 50% off was a huge event and if you ran out of hands for hats you just piled them on your head just like DAWN WALKER did, She set the trend!
July was spent with my wonderful family in Maine, dear friends in Amsterdam, and millinery workshops in France with DILLON WALLWORK designer to QUEEN ELIZABETH and royalty throughout Europe. (Pictures are on the FRANCE page of my website!)
August debuted the HALLOWEEN collection in a fashion show for the LAS VEGAS PHILHARMONIC and an article about LOUISA VOISINE MILLINERY appeared in the Las Vegas magazine-DESERT COMPANION.
September brought another big surprise when we found out my ten years spent in LOS ANGELES was mentioned in the new book by MEL & PATRICIA ZIEGLER. I am the founder and developer of the STUDIO SERVICES program for BANANA REPUBLIC and the authors were very gracious to include me in their book "WILD COMPANY."
In October we opened the new showroom in the LONGFORD PLAZA and our clients along with ourselves couldn't be happier with all the special events enjoyed by all. The ROYAL TEA SOCIETY held their HALLOWEEN tea event and guess what we had at the tea? Our HALLOWEEN collection for all to wear, enjoy, and shop!
By November and December we started to relax a bit and enjoy ourselves at the MJ CHRISTENSON JEWELERS fundraiser event for BEADS FOR LIFE. We represented the modern version of the film "OUT OF AFRICA."
See if you can match the pictures to the events! We made it real easy!
