Although I spent many college weekends in Newport it had been about 30 years since I had the opportunity to visit this special place. This summer offered an opportunity to spend a week with my sister Colette in Wickford. Since Wickford is two bridges from Newport it was the perfect opportunity not only to spend quality time with my sister but to incorporate millinery classes in Newport. Wickford is charming, Jamestown is filled with majestic sunsets and wildlife and Newport is glamorous and historical. We had a wonderful time in beautiful settings and with great company. My sisters friends known as the Crowfield Crew welcomed me with open arms and were all as charming as Wickford itself. I look forward to returning next summer and in the meantime enjoy the Wickford Lilies and the Crowfield Crew.

This is my first day back to work after spending a glorious month in New England. I had an amazing vacation and New England just doesn't change. The natural beauty, salt of the earth people and wonderful clear air with starry nights was all food for the soul. With so many wonderful stories and special memories I question where to begin. Yes, for those of you who find it hard to believe I didn't work it was a working vacation after all. I loved every minute of it and made great strides in building my line on the east coast. From Newport Rhode Island to Boston and on to Maine. My designing was well received with a new business partner and stores who will begin carrying my millinery designs this fall. Family memories were made that took us from laughing so hard as to cause muscle aches in our stomachs. Yes, Virginia I know where 04107 is located. My first day back to work included saying good-bye to my wonderful friend and co-worker Chris Seliga. She is off to University to begin her studies in bio-chemistry. As I gather pictures of her to post tomorrow you will see how beautiful she is inside and out. This is a young lady with a wonderful heart, deep soul and a level of intelligence that will take her far and wide.

Millinery Classes in Rhode Island My goal was to learn several new millinery techniques for designs I wished to execute. After researching millinery teachers in the US I discovered a wonderful young lady by the name of Sarah Havens in Newport, Rhode Island. She was a perfect teacher for the techniques I required and taught me with great ease and purposeful communication. She has been added to my link page for those of you who would like to visit her on the web. Newport was amazing as always and after spending several days at Crowfield with the Crowfield Crew and being welcomed with open arms the whole experience could not have been more perfect. Heading north to meet with other Millinery Designers in Maine.
